Brief Background     

     Hello! I am a Senior History Education major at University of Northern Iowa. I chose UNI because of the great education program and the opportunity to meet all new people. I grew up on a farm outside of New Ulm, Minnesota. I am currently student teaching in district 196 in Minnesota, with 6th graders at Rosemount Middle School, and 10th and 12th graders at Apple Valley High School.

Interests/Experiences     

     Throughout my time at UNI I have been a mentor, tutor and the president of the History Club on campus. Outside of class and school, I am a huge baseball fan (Go Twins!) and enjoy staying active and traveling. My favorite trips (so far) were to London, Paris and Italy while in high school, Washington D.C. to participate in the Women's March on Washington and explore the city, and road trips around the U.S. taken with friends.  I look forward to using these experiences in my classroom to remind my students that the world is theirs to explore.
